Professor testifies against militarization of police

A professor in the College of Justice and Safety this week testified before a U.S. Senate committee hearing to discuss the growing militarization of police in America.

Peter Kraska, chair of graduate studies in the College of Justice and Safety, was a part of an eclectic panel to appear before the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs to discuss the role of the federal government in equipping local and state police with military equipment.
